AARP Tax Aide Services

AARP will once again be providing tax preparation services at the O’Fallon Public Library.  We'll start booking appointments in mid-January, with actual appointments starting in early February.  Signup for the waitlist now to be one of the first people to get booked when appointments open up.   

Please ensure that you have all the documents required to complete your return before the scheduled appointment.  Among other things, these might include W-2 forms, 1099 forms, IRS PINs (must be the letter from IRS dated in 2023), brokerage statements, etc.

Photo IDs for taxpayer and spouse and Social Security cards for all people listed on the return are required. Your Medicare card is NOT a Social Security Card.

There are some things we are not permitted by the IRS to do. If you owned any cryptocurrency in 2023, your tax return is out of scope for the AARP Tax-Aide program meaning we cannot do any returns containing cryptocurrency. We are also not permitted to do returns with rental income.
